Richtje Reinsma (Amsterdam, 1979) makes drawings, installations and performances and writes about art and culture. Her work is personal and playful. She works with fragile materials, leaving the traces of the manual and material process visible and seeking a mix of coincidence and precision.
Reinsma regularly works together with fellow artists, and is a founding member of the artist collectives Het Harde Potlood (The Hard Pencil) and De Parasiet (The Parasite).
Reinsma’s work has been shown at Museum Van Loon en Mediamatic, Amsterdam; Garage Rotterdam; Onomatopee, Eindhoven; Museum Jan Cunen, Oss; SECONDroom, Brussel (B) en het Wende Museum in Culver City (VS).
